Synopsis: Adaption of Tolstoy's novel, an unhappily married woman meets and falls in love with a Russian guard. Her husband will not give her a divorce so she is forced to run away with the soldier, leaving her baby. After a short blissful period, her lover leaves her, and the woman disconsolate, throws herself under a train.
