Synopsis: An eccentric pet owner's furor over the fate of her unlicensed dog leads to political battles, comedy and romance when a reporter writes a story about her plight, crushing the provost's political ambition- and then the scribe falls in love with his target's daughter!
Vivien Leigh Society wrote: General Opinion: A good little comedy-romance will always find an audience. All of the principals worked hard to bring an air of believability to a trite story line which has an entire town populace breathing down the mayor's neck over the lawful arrest of a dog. Sara Allgood, as the woobegone dog owner, gives a performance that will bring a smile to your face and a lump to your throat. Rex Harrison and Vivien Leigh furnish romantic interest.
