Notes: This 1940 film was the second time Sherwood's play was made into a film. The first verison was done in 1931. In 1956, it was made into a film for a third time (called Gaby and starred John Kerr and Leslie Caron). Waterloo Bridge was Robert Taylor's favorite film he ever made- and he made over 70 films during his career.
Synopsis: A moving love story about a ballerina who turns to prostitution when she believes her lover was killed at war.
